Course Outline
Prepares employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances Qualification title change: The CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH qualification replaces the CIEH Principles of COSHH Certificate. The training programme remains the same, although we have produced a detailed, updated syllabus and a ‘How to deliver’ document. The principal change is that, we now issue a 30-multiple-choice-question examination papers that are scan marked. Candidates are allowed one hour to complete the exam. The switch to scan marking should make this qualification easier to deliver and reflects the CIEH’s commitment to robust and transparent assessment methods. Overview This qualification is designed for those who use substances hazardous to health at work. It introduces candidates to substances, the risks and controls available, and outlines what to expect from a control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) assessment. The qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in their workplaces.
