The aim of this course is to allow the general workforce to use ladders and stepladders safely in their task of work. To train nominated individuals in the inspection and maintenance of records.
Objectives of the course:-
- HASAW 1974 – Health and Safety at Work Act of 1974
- PUWER 98 – Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations of 1998
- Safe use of equipment
- Selection of suitable ladder/stepladder
- Prevention of falls
- PPE to maintain 3 point contact
- Inspections to ladders/stepladders
- Storage
- Inspections and maintenance of records
