Course Content
The SPA Safety Passport Scheme course is designed for all contractor site personnel who work on petrol retail forecourts and is controlled and monitored by the Safety Pass Alliance.
Course Content
The content of the Petrol Retail contractor’s course was determined by an industry working party of safety advisors including all the UK leading petrol retail companies, UKPIA and COGENT (the relevant sector skills council).
The course covers the following areas:
- Organising for safety
- Workplace safety
- Plant and machinery
- Health
- Procedures
- The environment
- Hazards on the filling station forecourt
- Controlling work on the forecourt
- Safe working practices on the forecourt
- Case study exercises
At the end of each module, a multiple choice test paper will be undertaken and an 80% pass mark is required for each module.
