Asbestos Awareness
Course Content
The Asbestos Awareness Course complies with the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP). “Working with materials containing asbestos” L143 paragraph 124 to 127 and Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006. The course is a half day course and specifically covers training duties under the legislation including;
- Properties of asbestos and risks to health includes HSE video
- Types, uses and likely occurrences in buildings
- Who is at risk?
- Emergency response if asbestos is released
- How to manage asbestos, responsibilities and survey types (overview)
- What works can be done on Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) and risks of disturbing them
- Q&A
- Verification test
